Breathwork
Certified facilitaror in Holosomatic Breathwork®

Holosomatic Breathwork is a powerful, body-centered practice that uses conscious breathing, music, and guided facilitation to support emotional release, nervous system regulation, renewed energy and vitality, and deeper self-awareness.
The term holosomatic comes from “holo” (whole) and “somatic” (of the body). This approach recognizes that our experiences, emotions, and stored stress live not only in the mind, but also in the body. Through intentional breathing patterns, the body is invited to release what it’s been holding.
Commonly reported benefits include:
-
Increased self-awareness and emotional clarity
-
Support in releasing stored stress and tension
-
Greater nervous system balance and resilience
-
A deeper sense of presence and connection with the body
-
Access to reflective or meditative states that support insight and integration
Sessions are held in a safe, supportive container with integration time to help you make sense of and ground your experience afterward.
No prior breathwork experience is necessary—just a willingness to breathe, feel, and listen to your body.
Holosomatic Breathwork® is a complementary wellness practice and is not a substitute for medical or psychological care.
What happens in your body during a session?
Holosomatic Breathwork® works by temporarily shifting a few key systems in the body and brain—on purpose, and in a controlled, supported way.
Here’s what’s happening under the hood:
-
Blood chemistry (CO₂ / pH)
Conscious breathing in a certain pattern gently changes carbon dioxide levels in the blood, which shifts pH and directly affects how the nervous system and brain communicate. Translation: your body gets out of autopilot and into a more responsive, aware state.
-
Autonomic nervous system balance
Breathwork influences the balance between the sympathetic (fight-or-flight) and parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) systems. This creates a window where stored stress can release and regulation can reset—without forcing anything. Your nervous system gets a chance to exhale.
-
Brain network dominance
The breathing pattern quiets the brain’s usual “executive control” networks (the ones that love to analyze, narrate, and micromanage) and allows more sensory and emotional networks to take the lead. Less thinking about the experience, more actually having it.
-
Sensory filtering and emotional gating
As sensory filters soften, emotions, memories, and body sensations that are usually held below awareness can surface safely. Not to overwhelm you—but to move, process, and integrate.
Put together?
Top-down control eases up, bottom-up information gets some airtime, and the body can finally finish conversations it started years ago.
No judgement required, only presence. No rehashing your entire life story. Just breath, biology, and a body that knows exactly what it’s doing—once you let it.
CO₂ tolerance (and why it’s a big deal)
Holosomatic Breathwork® can also help improve your tolerance to carbon dioxide (CO₂), which sounds technical but has very real, everyday benefits.
Most of us are unknowingly over-breathing. When CO₂ tolerance is low, the body interprets normal sensations as stress, keeping the nervous system on high alert. By working intentionally with breath and CO₂ levels, Holosomatic Breathwork® gently trains the body to feel safe with higher CO₂—without panic, gripping, or urgency.
Why that matters:
-
Better CO₂ tolerance improves oxygen delivery to tissues (yes, breathing less can help you oxygenate more)
-
The nervous system becomes less reactive and more resilient
-
Stress responses soften instead of hijacking the moment
-
Breath becomes slower, steadier, and more efficient over time
In other words, your body learns that it doesn’t need to freak out just because things get a little uncomfortable. That skill translates beautifully into daily life—meetings, relationships, workouts, and those moments where you’d normally hold your breath and brace.
It’s not about pushing limits or “doing it right.” It’s about teaching your system that safety doesn’t disappear when sensation increases—and that’s a game changer.
